Abstract

In the classical theory of regional economics, special attention is paid to the characteristics of the principles of distribution of productive forces and the specialization of regions in the production and sale of certain types of goods. This important issue is examined within the framework of international economic relations theory, and the resulting analysis is incorporated into the theory of regional economics. It has been demonstrated that regional specialization is based on absolute and relative advantages, taking into account the economically active population and the characteristics of the human factor. Classical scholars believed that regional development depended on geographic location and administrative territories. However, in the current stage of market economic development, the territorial division of regional economies and the associated creation of territorial production complexes have taken on a concrete form. The contribution of Tajik scholars to the theory and methodology of the distribution of productive forces is particularly noted.
