The article analyzes theoretical and legal issues regarding the unification of regulatory legal acts of private international law within the context of economic and business legal relations. It is noted that the inevitability of the unification and harmonization of legislation in politically independent states—including Tajikistan—is driven by fundamental societal transformations in socio-political, socio-economic, and cultural life, the implementation of socio-economic reforms, the resolution of migration-related issues, and economic integration. It is emphasized that the need to unify legal norms is linked to ensuring the clarity, precision, and logical consistency of the law. Unification simplifies legal material, reduces its volume, eliminates duplication, facilitates the correct understanding and application of legal provisions, and, in some instances, removes excessive differentiation. It is argued that the process of developing, harmonizing, and adopting a model regulatory legal act is quite lengthy, and its adoption by individual states within the global community can take a considerable amount of time. Therefore, this method of harmonization cannot serve the goals of flexible and prompt regulation of integration processes within the framework of the foreign economic policies of individual states and the global community as a whole, since, in the context of a market economy and market relations, it is essential to take into account the need for each partner to maintain a flexible stance.
