This article examines the specifics of assessing the effectiveness of green economy management in today's context. It also substantiates the need for green economy management as a factor in ensuring sustainable development. It was found that the effectiveness of green economy development management is assessed through various methods and approaches, using specific indicators. An analysis of the methodological foundations for assessing the level of green economy management revealed that it is carried out in two stages. Key indicators for assessing the quality of green economy development management have been identified based on the main development directions outlined in the Green Economy Development Strategy in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023–2037. A system of indicators used globally to assess the quality of green economy development management was also examined. Recommendations for improving the effectiveness of public administration in green economy development are proposed.
