MODERN THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO THE CONCEPT OF A “GREEN ECONOMY”

Abstract

The article examines some theoretical issues of the modern concept of green economy. It is substantiated that the sustainable development of all countries is directly related to the transition to a green economy. The opinion is presented that in the scientific community the concept of “green economy” is becoming more and more stable and acquiring different shades. Modern theoretical and methodological approaches to the green economy are analyzed, as well as the views of scientists and experts that underlie them. The author has expressed that in the modern theory of economic development it is advisable to highlight the general economic approach to the green economy as fundamental. The conclusion is justified by the fact that the green economy is associated with sustainable economic development and determines the relationship between the economy, ecology and society. It is substantiated that the state plays a great role in the transition to a green economy, and in this area it is important to solve problems related to the creation of appropriate infrastructure for the development of a green economy and the introduction of environmental technologies. It has been suggested that, based on existing theoretical and methodological approaches, it is necessary to form a relatively new understanding of the green economy, which will lead to sustainable growth with a predominance of environmentally friendly industries.
