The authors of the article analyze theoretical and practical aspects of political socialization in Tajikistan. Notion, essence and origin of the terms “socialization”, “political socialization” are considered as scientific categories used in social sciences. The authors give explications of different types and definitions of political socialization used in the works of researchers. The problem of the latter is presented through the author`s view: it is characterized as a targeted process of conveyance of social-political values, individual`s adoptation to political system through protection of education and sustainable development of the state. The article reflects also the periods of political socialization, its institutes and agents, models of citizens` political socialization; the latter being closely connected with the standard of political education and culture and with a development of state`s political life. The models of political socialization, devices of disorganization and stimuli respective of the conditions of democratic political system of Tajikistan are analyzed as well. Taking into consideration the country`s adherence based on man`s rights and freedoms the model of stimuli is called as important and prior.
