The article dwells on the problems of organization of a quality management system for training specialists in higher school on the basis of a process approach. It is substantiated that today a process approach to quality management is one of the main trends improving the quality of graduates. It is pointed out that for today it is SIRPORC model that is the most prospective form of management organization on the basis of process approach; the mostly optimal order of conformation of the model in question being expounded. Underscoring the advantages of process approach to qualitative preparation of graduates it is noted that it is not rightful to oppose it to functional approach. The methods of organization of a system of process control over the quality of training specialists in higher school on the example of the department terminating tuition of graduates is suggested.
