The article analyzes the experience of foreign countries in the innovative development of enterprises in the building materials industry. It is noted that in the context of increasing global competition and the transition to a green economy, innovative development of the construction materials industry is becoming one of the main areas of the state's industrial policy. Based on modern research into the innovative economy, the experience of foreign countries in developing the construction materials industry has been grouped in terms of institutional, organizational, managerial, and financial-investment features. It is expected that these aspects will generally provide an effective environment for implementing investment policy and developing production competitiveness. The experiences of the EU, US, Turkey, China, and South Korea are considered. A comparative analysis of the experiences of Turkey and Central Asian countries was conducted. It was concluded that investment development is only possible through the implementation of effective public policies. It is emphasized that a unified system of sustainable innovation based on the following four pillars is most suitable for Tajikistan: effective government and institutional policies, the integration of science and production, a favorable financial environment, and environmental and digital goals.
