The article examines the trends and conditions for ensuring food security in the Sughd region of the Republic of Tajikistan in modern socio-economic conditions. The aim of the study is to identify regional features of the formation and provision of food security in the Sughd region and to substantiate directions for increasing its sustainability. The methodological framework was based on statistical, comparative, and structural-dynamic analysis. Official statistical data were used to analyze demographic processes, household income levels, agricultural production dynamics, the development of storage and processing infrastructure, and the structure of food imports. It has been established that, despite the growth of agricultural production and the increased economic availability of food, the region remains dependent on the import of certain types of products. The scientific novelty lies in the comprehensive assessment of food security at the regional level, taking into account a combination of demographic, economic, and infrastructural factors. The study's results can be used in developing regional agricultural policy and import substitution mechanisms.
