POLITICAL ASPECTS OF THE IMPACT OF MIGRATION ON NATIONAL SECURITY IN CONTEMPORARY CONDITIONS

Author (s)

Miralieva M.O.

Abstract

The article examines the political aspects of migration's impact on national security. It notes that migration, as a complex global phenomenon, has a profound impact on the politics, security, economy, and culture of all countries. This impact is felt in both the receiving and sending countries. High levels of migration lead to migrant-sending countries becoming heavily dependent on the governmental, economic, and legal policies of the receiving country. Migration has become not only a socioeconomic phenomenon in interstate relations but also an instrument of political pressure. It has been noted that high levels of migration also pose a serious threat to the strengthening of state independence. The population's dependence on migrants' income, in turn, leads not only to the population's standard of living being dependent on it, but also to the country's economic development being dependent on the political situation and legislation of the host state. The possibility that migrants may become victims of deception by politically motivated, extremist and radical organizations is particularly noted.
