REQUIREMENTS FOR PREPARING SCIENTIFIC MANUSCRIPTS

A theoretical scientific article submitted for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals must adhere to the following structure:

Introduction: the introduction of a theoretical scientific article should comprise the following elements:

Background: this section should highlight the importance of studying the topic. Its length may range from 1-2 paragraphs to 1-2 pages, depending on the complexity of the research problem.

Literature Review and Justification: to provide a concise overview of existing research on the problem within the scientific literature, referencing relevant works that discuss various aspects of the issue. The relevant section effectively serves as the theoretical basis of the research, mentioning the methodologies, concepts, and theories the author relies upon. It should justify the necessity of studying the topic by identifying a scientific gap.

Research Objective: to state the research objective. The research hypothesis should also be presented. Sometimes, research questions are included to clarify the article's structure. The necessity of studying the topic is justified when a scientific gap exists in the current understanding of the subject.

Research Methods: this part of the introduction should not list general scientific methods. Instead, if the author conducted their research using a specific or unique method, it should be described and explained (recommended element).

Main Part: the main body (which may include subsections depending on the constituent issues of the topic) of a theoretical scientific article should consist of the following elements:

Analysis and Description of Scientific Literature: the description of literature or individual issues should follow a logical chronology, and the criteria for selecting the literature should be mentioned. It is advisable to indicate the key authors or the methodology used for literature selection.

Discussion: in this section, the research results should be explained/interpreted. It must be indicated whether the research objective was achieved and whether the research hypothesis is correct or incorrect.

Research Limitations: to indicate any difficulties encountered during the research process and the reasons why the author was unable to complete other related work (recommended element).

Conclusion: the conclusion typically ranges from 1 to 2 pages in length. It should concisely summarize the research findings and articulate their significance for the advancement of science. In conclusion, the author may also suggest directions for further research on the problem, outlining what additional work could be done. From the conclusion, the reader should be able to ascertain whether the research objective was achieved and whether the research hypothesis is correct (mandatory element).

References: (List of Used Literature)

Accompanying Information: In addition to the main article text, which must be provided in three languages (Tajik, Russian, and English), the following information must be prepared and submitted:

The Title of the Article: The article title must correspond with the internal content of the article.

Affiliation: Detailed author information is required: Surname, First Name, Patronymic of the author, Degree candidate of the department or division (if applicable), Doctor PhD of the department or division (if a PhD student), Doctoral student of the department or division (if a traditional doctoral student), Primary place of employment, Position held (for those not listed as degree candidates, PhD students, or traditional doctoral students), Work address, Phone number, Email address.

Abstract: (Article Summary). An "Abstract," intended for publication and dissemination of information about the article, is to be placed at the end of the article. The volume of the "Abstract" must not exceed 150 words. The Abstract consists of a heading, a list of keywords, and the text. The heading for the "Abstract" section must include the surname, first name, and patronymic of the author, and the article title. Keywords (up to 15 words) must be provided, printed in lowercase letters on a line after placing a comma. The text of the "Abstract" should reflect the research purpose, the methods and equipment utilized, the results obtained and their novelty, and recommendations regarding their application and area of use. When articulating the content of the "Abstract," syntactic structures characteristic of scientific documents and standardized terminology should be employed, while avoiding difficult-to-understand grammatical phrases and rare or undefined symbols. The "Abstract" must be provided in Tajik, Russian, and English.

Keywords: up to 7 keywords are to be provided, printed in lowercase letters on a line after placing a comma.

Manuscript Submission: the article must be typeset in Tajik, Russian, or English using MS Word software (font: Times New Roman, potentially indicating the specific Tajik script setting 'тоҷ', font size – 14, line spacing – 1.5). It must be submitted in 2 hard copies printed on one side of A4 format paper, along with a mandatory electronic copy of the article, to peer-reviewed scientific journals. Standard margins should be used. Citation numbering in the article text must follow the order of appearance. Cited sources (References) are to be provided at the end of the article.

Resume

Resume (annotion) in a periodical edition is a source of the information concerned with the contents of the article and expounding the results of the exploration.

Resume fulfills the following functions:

It enables to ascertain the main contents of the document to determine its relevance and to decide if it is worth invoking the full text of the document;

It presents information about the document obviating a need of reading the full text of the document if the latter is of secondary importance for a reader;

It is used for a quest of documents and information in informational systems automatized ones inclusive.

Resume to an article should be:

 - informative (not to contain common words);

 - original;

 - rich in content (to reflect basic contents of an article and results of explorations);

 - structurized (to be consecutive with the logic of the results described)

 - compact (to be kept within the volume in the range of 100-250 words)

Resume includes the following aspects in regard to the contents of an article:

 - subject-matter objective of the work;

 - methods or methodology of conducting the work;

 - results of the work;

 - the field of applications of results;

 - conclusion.

Consecutiveness of expounding can be changed; you may begin with results and conclusion.

Subject-matter theme objective of the work are indicated if they are not clear from the title.

Results of the work are described utterly accurately and informatively. Hereby preference is given to new results and data of long-term importance significant discoveries conclusions refuting existing theories and also to those ones which in author`s opinions are practically important.

Conclusions may be covered with recommendations assessments suggestions hypotheses described in the article.

Historic references not pertaining to the basic content of the document description of earlier published works and provisions of common knowledge are not adduced in a resume.

In the text of a resume one should use syntactical constructions inherent in the language of scientific works evade compound grammatical constructions.

 

Significant words from an article should be present in a resume.

Requirements for published articles

Requirements for the formatting of articles (overviews, reviews, and critiques) submitted for publication in the scientific and theoretical journal "Bulletin of the Tajik State University of Law, Business, and Politics. Series of Social Sciences "

1.       Conditions for publication of the article:

·          The journal accepts previously unpublished scientific articles, reviews, critiques, and testimonials. An article submitted for publication must be an independent, complete study of a current problem, characterized by internal unity, related to the coverage of current problems and promising areas of philological and historical sciences at the international and national levels;be novel; contain a statement and solution of the problem; reflect the main results of the research;

·          comply with the design rules.

2. Rules for article formatting:

• the article is submitted in printed form and on electronic media (by e-mail) in Microsoft Word A4 format; font - Times New Roman, size - 14 pt., line spacing - one and a half, formatting - by width; margins - 20 mm. Article length: up to 20 pages - for postgraduate students and applicants, as well as for authors holding a candidate or doctoral degree;

• the article is accompanied by an abstract in Russian, Tajik, and English, from 100 to 150 words long, reflecting the main content of the article and the results of the research, and 7-8 key words or phrases in the specified languages;

• the article must contain references to the literature used (at least five sources), formatted according to the article’s list of references in square brackets;

• the list of references must be formatted in the order of citing sources with the obligatory indication of their bibliographic data;

• information about the author(s) is attached to the article: last name, first name, patronymic (in full), academic degree, academic title, position, place of work (place of study or postgraduate study), contact telephone numbers, e-mail, postal code and address in Russian and English;

• the text of the article must be carefully proofread and signed by the author, who, together with the reviewer, is responsible for the scientific and theoretical level of the published material.

• if the article has two but no more than three co-authors, it is mandatory to include in the article brief information regarding the contribution of each co-author to the work, which is indicated after the last version of the abstract and keywords.

3. Accompanying documents to the article:

• the text of the article on paper and electronic media (for foreign authors - on electronic media) is sent to the editorial office of the journal at the address: 735700, Tajikistan, Khujand, 17th microdistrict, house No. 1, TSUPBP - to the responsible secretary of the journal, Sameev Abdumavlon, e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. • the authors submit a review signed by the reviewer and certified by the institution’s seal, reflecting the relevance of the problem and the author’s contribution to solving the problem chosen by him, containing a recommendation for the publication of the article in the journal “Bulletin of TSULBP. Series of Social Sciences”.

1.               The articles entered are considered by «Bulletin of TSU LBP» editorial board during a month.

2.               Scientific articles entered to «Bulletin of TSU LBP» editorial board are subject to compulsory reviewing.

3.               Stages of reviewing:

1.     At the first stage reviewing envisages:

- ascertainment of article`s correspondence to the type of the journal and its thematic rubriques;

 - correspondence to framing requirements;

 - determination of scientific style the material is expounded in;

 - availability of statistical data‚ tables‚ diagrams‚ drawings confirming the results of the research conducted.

2.     If the requirements presented in paragraph 3.1. are observed the contents of the article are reviewed. The article is referred to an expert of respective aspect who determines:

- correspondence between the contents and the theme formulated in the title;

- actualness of the problem dwelt on;

- scientific novelty of the provisions contained in the article;

 - theoretical and applied importance of the provisions contained in the article.

4.           A reviewer sends a review containing recommendations for publications to the editorial board in the course of 15 days.

5.           If alterations are needed a reviewer points which ones should be introduced into an article by an author.

6.           In case of a negative reference a reviewer must submit motivated grounds for refusal in publication to the author of the article.

7.           A review is framed in the printed term and on an electronic carrier‚ it should be signed by a reviewer and certified with the stamp of the institution the reviewer works in.

8.           Originals of reviews are kept at the editorial office of the «Bulletin of TSU LBP».

9.           The editorial board is authorized with the right of scientific and literary recension of the materials entered.

10.      After a month elapse the editorial board notifies the author about the results of recension and the terms of publication of the article.

 

The editorial board provides an author with a free-of-charge copy of the journal containing the published article.
