This article examines the impact of digitalization on the banking system of the Republic of Tajikistan. Particular attention is paid to the role of state digitalization policy and state programs for the development of banking services. It was noted that the expansion of the use of information technology plays an important role in the implementation of digitalization. The challenges and opportunities of digital development, as well as the experience of local banks, including Alif and Dushanbe City, were analyzed. It is argued that the widespread use of mobile applications is crucial to the digitalization process. Recommendations are also provided for improving digitalization policy and further developing the country's banking system.
