Abstract

The article examines the theoretical aspects and features of managing the development of a green economy to ensure sustainable development of the national economy. It is noted that the development of a green economy for most countries in the world is a priority area of international practice for the functioning of the national economy. Therefore, there is a need to raise awareness of government agencies and economic entities about adequate methods of managing the development of a green economy. The study clarified the concepts of "green economy" and "management of green economy development". It was revealed that the management of the development of the green economy is carried out in accordance with state policy. State policy in this area includes legal, economic and organizational measures aimed at achieving sustainable development and environmental safety. Taking into account the tasks facing the state in developing a green economy, a mechanism for managing a green economy has been proposed that includes all key elements and helps to minimize the negative impact on the environment, creates new opportunities for business structures and society to apply the principles of a green economy in order to accelerate the process of transition of the national economy to sustainable development.
