PREREQUISITES OF CIVIL SOCIETY ACTIVIZATION IN CORRUPTION STRUGGLE IN MODERN TAJIKISTAN

Abstract

The article analyzes the prerequisites for the activation of civil society in the  corruption struggle in modern Tajikistan. The role of civil society in the corruption struggle appears to be an important factor. The development of mutual trust between government institutions and civil society is seen as the basis for their effective work in the corruption struggle. Essential prerequisites for the activation of civil society in the corruption struggle are recognized as: legal protection of civil society institutions, wider provision of guarantees for their protection in the corruption struggle, activation of independent media and investigative journalism, ensuring wide access to information, increasing the financial capabilities of civil society in the corruption struggle, corruption development of civic education, strengthening the will of government authorities in the corruption struggle, real trust in civil society as a partner in the corruption struggle, expanding the monitoring capabilities of civil society institutions and following the experience of other countries. It is relevant to define a model for activating civil society in the corruption struggle. Cooperation between the state and civil society institutions is recognized as an effective model in the corruption struggle.
