IMPORTANT FACTORS AFFECTING CHINA’S GEOPOLITICAL AND GEOECONOMIC STATUS IN MODERN CONDITIONS

Abstract

The article discusses the main factors influencing the geopolitical and geo-economic position of China in modern conditions. With expanding globalization and increasing dependence of countries on each other, China has taken a central place in international politics and economics.The following are analyzed: the economic development of the country, its foreign economic relations, strategic initiatives, including “One Belt - One Road”, as well as the influence of internal political decisions and socio-cultural factors. Particular attention is paid to China's role in international organizations and its cooperation with major world powers.Challenges and threats to China are also discussed, including trade wars, environmental issues and demographic changes. The results of the study allow us to better understand the dynamics of changes in China’s status on the world stage and show its impact on global processes.
