In the Republic of Tajikistan, legal regulation of environmental protection acts as one of the main directions of state policy aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of the country. The article examines the problems of administrative and legal regulation of state management of environmental protection in the Republic of Tajikistan with a special emphasis on the role of government bodies in this process. Some functions of state structures in the field of environmental protection are considered as well as the regulatory framework and certain aspects of state management of environmental problems are analyzed. It is also emphasized, that there is a need to develop and adopt the Concept of State Management in the Sphere of Environmental Protection for 2024-2034.
