Thearticle dwells on theforeignexperienceinimprovingthemechanismformanagingthedevelopmentoftheregionaleconomy. The problems of regional policy of the Republic of Tajikistan are identified and classified, successful solutions to which have been found in many countries. Based on the study of the experience of foreign countries in the application of local governance models, for example Anglo-Saxon and Continental, the main directions for solving territorial problems have been identified. It is believed that using the experience of foreign countries in the use of tools such as the creation of innovative development structures in the form of business incubators, technology parks, agencies and development funds can help strengthen the sustainable development of regional entities. Based on the practice of foreign countries in developing and implementing regional policies, ways to increase the efficiency of state management of the development of the region have been proposed, the use of which can contribute to the transition of its economy to a higher quality level of development.
