The article investigates the factors and causes of income inequality of the population at the regional level. The regional socio-economic considered the differentiation of incomes of the population, which occurs under the influence of economic, political, psychological, demographic and geographical factors. The analysis of interregional differentiation of labor incomes carried out in the gender aspect and intersectoral differentiation of wages in the Sughd region. An analysis of the methods of the state mechanism carried out for implementing the income policy in the conditions of a transforming economy. The main measures of the state, substantiated the contribution to the alignment of inter-regional differentiation of incomes of the population of the republic. The implementation proposed the income policy based on a combination of economic efficiency and social justice. It is noted that the effective redistribution of income in the country and its regions should be carried out through the development of state programs, in particular in the field of regulating the labor income of citizens, fair taxation and the system of social protection.
