The modern period of the world economy development is closely connected with the digital economy as the application of digital computer technology has become the key factor of economic policy development of any modern state. So, the latest years have seen the growth of advanced technology and electronic digital innovation in state management following the changing economic and political situation in the world. Given that, the article theoretically studies the ways of application of digital economy in the Republic of Tajikistan. It shows the experience of application of digital economy in some financial and credit institutions. Following the views of modern foreign and home scholars, the article reviews the scientific and theoretical specifics of application of digital economy in the Republic of Tajikistan, and recommends the ways of improvement.
