The article defines the processing industry role in the development of economy, and also proves the importance of business structures in the sustainable development of the region in the context of structural changes of economy. Based on the study of the world experience of state policy in the field of development of business structures, two areas of state intervention are mentioned. Structural changes in the industry of Sughd region are analyzed using statistical data. The activities of business structures at the level of cities and districts of Sughd region are reviewed and their positions are defined. State incentives are considered as a priority to increase the role of industrial business structures in sustainable development of the region and its directions are given.
