The article dwells on the issues concerned with overcoming theconsequences of transformational crisis. Market relations development has led to a change in almost all the elements of economic activity. It is determined that after the beginning of economic growth reformation Tajikistan missed the opportunity to use the strategy of home production development. By its nature, economic growth, relying on the development of production potential previsages technological and technical modernization, improving the quality of products as well. Analysis of functional significance of economic growth allows us to conclude that in the nearest perspective, the only way for Tajikistan Republic to resolve emerging difficulties is to achieve sustainable economic growth.
