The article dwells on methodological aspects of business-structures activity in industrial sector. There are elicited the reasons of its vulnerability and revealed many factors for assessment of an effectiveness of business-structures activities and their sway over future operations. Different methodological approaches towards the effectiveness in question are considered in the concrete social-economic system. The author proposes a right approach to a definition of effective work of business-structures as an important provision for development strategy aimed at produce quality elevation, elaboration of respective measures on staff motivation, increase of portfolio orders. It is well-grounded that utilization of index and econometric methods of assessment is acceptable by a determination of effective activity of business-structures in the sphere of industry.
