Small Russian Town: What Do we Know about it and its Authorities?

Abstract

The article under consideration is virtually a brief review of the book “Authorities in a Small Russian Town” by A. Ye. Chirikova and V. G. Ledyayev. The authors have conducted their own sociological questioning among the professors of the department of state and municipal management and masters of day-time studies under the Academy of Civil Protection attached to the Ministry of Extraordinary Situations of Russia; the questioning being concerned with the key problems of organization and functioning of power elicited in the reviewed book belonging to A.Ye.Chirikova and V.G.Ledyayev. Some items are expounded in the given review.

The latter has been prepared in the frames of the scientific school “State Policy and Management” functioning on a permanent basis in the Academy of Social Protection attached to the Ministry of Extraordinary Situations of Russia.
