Sustainability of Regional Economy and Perspective Development Problems in Reference to Sughd Viloyat

The article dwells on the problems of balanced development of regional economy‚ the author substantiates a necessity of state sway over integral demand and special measures in the frames of regional development programmes with taking into consideration the geographical situation of Sughd Viloyat in Central Asia. For a formation of an effective regional politics it is recom­mended to utilize the results of explorations of water power and other natural economic resour­ces of the territory. The problem of allocation of productive forces with the aim of their effective usage as a factor of economic growth and population`s welfare rise is set in a new mode. Special attention is paid to obviation of territorial disproportions by elaboration of a regional policy connected with an improvement of the mechanism providing sustainable regional development. The author has determined the bearings of regional economy functioning in strategic perspective with resorting to special‚ frame-forming‚ complex and pointed approaches based on utilization of the advantages of the region‚ both natural and acquired ones.
